FROM THE SEA:

Kayaking to Pinel Island

Kayak Rental

Kayaking is one of the best and most appropriate activities to reach Pinel. It's so easy and it's such a fun way to be out on the water. The whole family can do it and at a very reasonable price.

Rent a kayak and spend an amazing day on our flat and turquoise sea.

Any suggestion? Pay attention on the way! You might see turtles, sting rays and tropical fish! If you have time, make a stop on little key and take a walk on the sand bar in front of it. And if you have enough energy and the sea condition allows it, try a Pinel island tour! Enjoy ☺

Paddle Board Rental:

Of all sea activities, Stand Up Paddle boarding (SUP) is the fastest growing sport. It gives you a little taste of the simplicity of the surf culture, without being as difficult or requiring. SUP also gives you the opportunity to get closer to the coastlines and see the reefs from above. Gliding over the calm Caribbean Sea and seeing the active reef below you, with all the creatures playing in the azure ocean, is pure magic.

A little tip? While in Pinel Island, put your paddle boards back in the water and lay on it while sipping your Pina Colada or rum punch. But be careful, the sun is strong!

2 little ferries ready to go Pinel Island

Ferry:

There are ferries that runs every half an hour in the morning, and every hour in the afternoon, from 9:30am to 5:00pm

Those four boats belong to Sint Maarteners (Vanou, Vidian, Doc’ & Micky) who have been there from the very beginning of Pinel Island’s opening to the public.

They are here everyday, waiting for you under their cabana at the entrance of the dock, playing dominos (usually on the early afternoon, when it’s getting quiet) and enjoying the moment… They are living a life as everybody should!

Each boat can handle about 30 people. The ferry station is located in Cul De Sac, just next to Caribbean Paddling shop ☺

The rate of the round trip ferry ticket is 10 euros or 12 USD per person. Only cash is accepted.

The ferry ride does not last more 5 minutes, each way.

Just make sure you do not miss the last ferry at 5:00pm or you might sleep over with the dear iguanas ;)
