1% for the Planet: our commitment to the ocean

At Caribbean Paddling, we don’t just enjoy the sea — we are committed to protecting it. Since last year, we’ve proudly joined the 1% for the Planet movement, donating 1% of our annual revenue to organizations that work to preserve marine ecosystems.



In 2025, we’ve chosen to support:


🔹 Tara Ocean Foundation — for its groundbreaking research on climate change and marine life

🔹 Expédition 7e Continent — for raising awareness and acting against plastic pollution in the oceans

🔹 Sea Shepherd France — for its direct action to defend marine wildlife and habitats

A meaningful step — now more than ever


This year, a massive sargassum bloom has severely impacted our region. At Saint-Martin, the invasion is so intense that we’ve had to temporarily close access to Pinel Island. It’s a stark reminder of how fragile our environment is — and how real the climate emergency has become.


As a local business relying on clean oceans, we have a responsibility to be part of the solution. Supporting those who fight every day to protect the ocean is not just symbolic — it’s essential.
